St. Patrick Perpetual Legacy Fund
The St. Patrick Legacy fund has been set up as a trust account. The legacy trust avoids those transfer taxes on each generation. So multiple generations can benefit from the trust without
multiple payments of estate or gift taxes. It provides protection against predators or outside
people from coming in and spending the monies. Traditionally this type of fund is funded through annual gifts, or after life giving. The St. Patrick Perpetual Legacy fund was set up for the maintenance of St. Patrick structures solely on the interest given each year from the account. Our goal is to reach a principal amount for this fund of $1 Million, which will guarantee the church will have funds for years to come.
St. Patrick Reserve Fund
The St. Patrick Reserve Fund is set up as a savings account. It’s monies will be set aside in this account for meeting future costs of upkeep and any unexpected costs that may arise. This fund is not a protected fund, like the trust, and can be completely depleted if necessary. It is also not taxed by the Diocese of Dallas.
